All sounds in the following gameplay video were designed using Pro Tools.  There are a total of 39 personally crafted one shots and loops.  Sounds were implemented and mixed in Wwise to exact specifications.  Careful consideration was taken for foreground and background effects, distance to targets, and environmental mood.  Workflow refinement and development of ear were essential to success.
The following video walks through the development process for a mid-foreground asset. It blends with the overall environment and mood while also standing out enough in the mix to establish itself as an indicator for a target. The idea was to develop a sound for a lightly powered spinning cell that could then be retrieved by the player as seen in the above video. This sound also ties in with activation and deactivation sounds upon discovery and retrieval of the game object. Personal gaming and allowing child like creativity to flow was the driving force behind imagining assets.
